How to sign up for a personal account on M2 as a UAE resident

In this guide, we will provide a step-by-step walkthrough for signing up for a personal account on M2.

Step 1: Visit M2 website or download the Mobile app (App Store or Google Play) and click on the Register button. Use the email you wish to register with and choose a password.  

Note: The registered email cannot be changed at any point further.

Step 2: Enter the code sent to your email to verify your email address. .

‍

Step 3: Congratulations, your M2 Account has been successfully registered! You may now proceed with your account verification to access all our M2 products.

Step 4: Enter your phone number including the country code. This number will set up your two-factor authentication for enhanced account security.

Step 5: Enter the code sent to your phone via SMS. If you don’t receive the SMS after multiple attempts, please contact our Customer Support.

Step 6: Choose your country of residence and agree to our platform’s Terms & Conditions. If you are not a United Arab Emirates (UAE) resident, please follow this guide.

You will be required to tick the boxes to agree on ADGM T&C’s and acknowledge the same by clicking continue.

Read the Risk Disclosure Statement and click "Got it".

Step 7: Enter your full name (matching your identification documents) and select your nationality and country of birth.

‍

Step 8: Enter your current residential address.

• Address (Has to match exactly your official Proof of address document)
• City  
• Zip Code (Optional)

Step 9: Select the country where you pay taxes. If you’re in a country without income tax, choose your country of residence. Your Tax Identification Number is optional and not required to proceed to the next step.

Step 10: Provide your current employment status and relevant employment details. Additionally, please select your source of funds and the purpose of opening an M2 account (choose the most applicable option if there are multiple).

Step 11: Choose your expected annual income, which should reflect your total revenue from your current occupation and select your total net worth, which is the accumulation of your assets minus your current liabilities. Additionally, we need a few other important and quick questions related to your usage and expectations.

Step 10: Upload the required documents for verification purpose.

For Proof of Address, the Required Documents will be shown as below:

And for Proof of source of funds, you will be required to answer the below questions.

1. _{How do you plan to fund your M2 account (Bank Transfer Or External wallet address / Virtual assets)}
2. _{In case you fund you account via bank transfer, then you will be required to upload bank account statement less then 30 days old}
3. _{In case you will fund your account from external wallet address then you will be required to provide us with the external wallet address as showing below}

Step 11: Scan your Passport or Emirates ID. M2 requires all users to submit their passports/IDs for account verification. Make sure you have your passport/ID in hands as copies are not accepted in our verification process.

Face verification

As a final step, face verification will be required as well for further identity verification.

Wait for account approval.

Once you've submitted your documents (KYC), M2 Team will review your application. The process can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, depending on the account validation and requirements for your account.

You'll receive an email once your account has been approved or if we need more information/documents from you.

After your account is completely verified, you'll be able to start trading on the platform and enjoying M2 features!
