How to sign up for a personal account on M2 as a non-UAE resident

In this guide, we will provide a step-by-step guide through M2’s account registration and verification process.

Step 1: Visit M2 website or download the Mobile app (App Store or Google Play) and click on the Register button. Use the email you wish to register with and choose a password.  

Note: The registered email cannot be changed at any point further.

Step 2: Enter the code sent to your email to verify your email address. 

‍

Step 3: Congratulations, your M2 Account has been successfully registered! You may now proceed with your account verification to access all our M2 products.

Step 4: Enter your phone number including the country code.

‍

Step 5: Enter the code sent to your phone via SMS. If you don’t receive the SMS after multiple attempts, please contact our Customer Support.

Step 6: Choose your country of residence and agree to our platform’s Terms & Conditions. If you are a United Arab Emirates (UAE) resident, please follow this guide.

Step 7: Enter your full name (matching your identification documents) and select your nationality and country of birth.

‍

Step 8: Enter your current residential address. 

‍

Step 9: Select the country where you pay taxes. If you’re in a country without income tax, choose your country of residence. Your Tax Identification Number is optional and not required to proceed to the next step.

Step 10: Provide your current employment status and relevant employment details. Additionally, please select your source of funds and the purpose of opening an M2 account (choose the most applicable option if there are multiple).

Step 11: Choose your expected annual income, which should reflect your total revenue from your current occupation. Additionally select your total net worth, which is the accumulation of your assets minus your current liabilities.

Step 12: Choose how often and how much you plan to use M2 each month, the frequency and volume of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and trading.

Step 13: Provide some information about your financial background and experience.

‍

Step 14: Upload a scan of your identification document (passport is the most secure option) and complete a selfie check for identity verification. 

‍

Step 15: Congratulations, your account verification application is now complete! Our team will review your application, and once accepted or in case any other document is needed, we will contact you via email.
