Proof of address FAQs

Explore everything M2 deems acceptable and unacceptable when providing proof of address documents during the KYC onboarding process.

M2 only accepts Proof of address documents such as utility bills, bank statements and residential proof issued by your government that must contain your name and address. Please note that Proof of Address must be dated within the last three months and must be in English. Documents dated older than three months will be rejected. We do NOT accept P.O. Box addresses from any country.

We accept:

  • Bank/ credit card statements
  • Utility bills (water, electricity, gas, internet, phone (not mobile))
  • Tax returns
  • Council tax bills
  • Payroll statement -or- Official salary document from employer
  • Insurance statement
  • Residence certificate
  • Government-issued certifications of residence, etc.

We don’t accept:

  • Screenshots
  • Mobile phone bills
  • Medical bills
  • Receipts for purchases
  • Insurance statements
  • Domestic passports
  • Bank transactions slips
  • Bank or company referral letters
  • Border passes
