Overview

To ensure we continue providing a high-quality experience tailored to our core user base, we are introducing a minimum balance policy along with a monthly maintenance fee for accounts that fall below a specified balance threshold.

This update is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline operations and focus on serving clients with more advanced needs, particularly High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and institutional investors.

Minimum Balance Requirement

All accounts are now required to maintain a minimum total balance of USD 100,000 (or equivalent in digital assets) across their portfolio.

Minimum Balance Requirement

  • Maintain a minimum of USD 100,000 in combined:
    • Equivalent Virtual Assets Balance  
    • FIAT Balance
    • Locked assets under Earn or Lending
    • Trading Activities

Monthly Account Maintenance Fee

  • A USD 100 equivalent Virtual Assets maintenance fee will be applied at the end of each month if the above criteria are not met.
  • Accounts inactive for 30 consecutive days with no qualifying assets or trading activity may be subject to closure.

How to Meet the Requirement
  • Deposit additional funds into your account.
  • Hold idle or locked assets under Earn or Lending programs
  • Increase trading activity across eligible instruments.

What happens if requirement is not met

1. Zero Balance Accounts

Accounts with a balance of USD 0 and no qualifying activity will be deactivated immediately.

2. Low Balance Accounts (USD 1 – USD 1,000)

A monthly maintenance fee of USD 100 will apply until the minimum balance is restored or the account is closed.

3. Mid-Tier Accounts (USD 1,001 – USD 25,000)

These accounts will be given a 12-month grace period to meet the minimum balance requirement. During this period:

  • A monthly maintenance fee of USD 100 will apply.
  • If the minimum balance of USD 100,000 is not restored within 12 months, the account may be closed.
  • Remaining assets may become restricted, including limitations on withdrawals.

4. Higher-Tier Accounts (USD 25,001 – USD 99,999)

These accounts will be subject to the Monthly Account Maintenance Fee.

  • A monthly maintenance fee of USD 100 will apply.
  • If the minimum balance of USD 100,000 is not restored within 12 months, the account may be closed.

Monthly Maintenance Fee

If your total account balance falls below USD 100,000 or equivalent in virtual assets, a monthly maintenance fee of USD 100 will be applied. Here's how it works:

Fee Application Logic:

  • The USD 100 fee will be deducted from the asset with the highest value in your portfolio.
  • If two or more assets are of equal value, the fee will be distributed equally across them.
  • If the total account value is less than USD 100, your account will be debited to zero, and it will then be subject to closure in accordance with our updated minimum balance policy.

Example Scenarios

  1. Account Value = $95,000 in BTC
    → Monthly maintenance fee of $100 applied to your BTC.
  2. Account Value = $85
    → Account balance reduced to $0. Account enters closure process as per policy.
  3. Equal BTC and ETH holdings = $40,000 each
    → $50 deducted from BTC and $50 from ETH.

Account Closure Process

If your account balance falls to $0 and is fully debited, a notification will be sent in advance and will be flagged for closure.
