Setting up Two Factor Authentication (2FA) with M2 is a great way to secure your account and protect it from potential hacking attempts.
Here is a step-by-step guide to help you set up 2FA on your M2 account.
Step 1: Navigate to Account Security Menu
Click on the 'Profile' tab Once you've logged into your M2 account, look for the 'Security' tab on the left side of the platform.
Click on it to access the security settings.
Step 2: Enable 2FA on the security tab
You will see an option to enable 2FA.
Choose to either copy the code or scan the QR code, and then click on the 'Enable 2FA' button.
Step 3: Enter 2FA code and email OTP
After clicking the 'Enable 2FA' button, you will be asked to enter the 2FA code and email OTP that you received on your registered email address.
Make sure to enter both codes correctly as after 3 tries it will be locked and you will have to wait for 48 hours to try again.
Step 4: Pass the validation
If you entered the codes correctly, you would pass the validation process, and a pop-up success page will confirm that 2FA has been activated.
Step 5: Log out and log in again
Once 2FA is enabled, you will need to log out of your M2 account and log in again to ensure that 2FA is working correctly.
You will be prompted to enter a 2FA code every time you log in.
By enabling this additional layer of security, you have significantly reduced the risk of unauthorized access to your account.
